From the archives these TATTOOED LACE chokers are now filling in a few gaps on my holey curtain. Quite a handy spot for them too. All work pieced, stitched together and embroidered by hand from vintage lace.

Friend and beanie model Falco Il Principe Libertad today discovered the alibaba basket at my place that
I scored recently at the SPCA op shop to store my wool supply. Shock horror, synchronicity, and
hilarious moment!! It turned out that Falco had spied it the day before me, and was going back to purchase it - but then I came along.... Condolences dear Falco, for pipping you at the post and stealing your basket..
Grieve no longer  I'm leaving it to you in my will.

Post Halloween shot with red eye and other scary details. Blast from the past pre su reaL atelier birth. Inner city Sydney workers' cottage do-up - stencilled cupboards, wine, and of course having a good stir. Spot the bunch of carrots - the logo seed was hanging on the wall.

I bought this old alibaba basket from the Waiheke SPCA op shop for $2 yesterday to accommodate my total wool supply. It's been lying in the sun drying out after a good scrub up, but now I don't know where to put the thing, as it's bigger than I thought, and I've discovered there's no extra space in my lower deck. Seemed like a great idea at the time. Perhaps hang it by its one handle from the ceiling - any ideas anyone? If so, please click the link directly under the dangling orange carrot logo and state your case. Also, shall I customise it su reaL style or leave it natural? Please help- it's not going anywhere. Wool obsessed!!

Andre is a keen surfer, and he and his beautiful family have now firmly put their roots down residentially on the stunning Waiheke Island landscape - the island will be even more beautiful now! Sooo happy for you guys!!!!!!! You definitely belong here.

I've had fun cleaning up a courtyard space here at the bach this afternoon creating a blank canvas for some serious transformation, and what I really want as the sun's going down here on Waiheke Island after a pretty balmy Spring day, is a lot of white paint to recreate the rooftop Bhairo at Taj Lake Palace, Rajasthan, India, as I sip on my pink bubbles. Heaven! Save me the bother. Take me there.

A wonderful, vivacious woman called Mary invited me to check out the spinners and weavers' group here on Waiheke Island. I finally got along the other morning, and was so utterly inspired! I'm really keen to expand my knowledge with the whole wool process, and various techniques used to create something from scratch, and this is the place to do it! An absolute wealth of knowledge here, and everyone was so welcoming and friendly. One of the members brought along this darling little lamb that had been found in a paddock without her mother. She was so adorable! Check her ears out.
This is Mary trying out carding, as it is called, for the first time. She did a great job - not that I would know!
Mary's just finished the jersey she's wearing here. Pretty much straight off the sheep's back. The brown bands were added later. She did a great job too. Got to add one of these to my list - I haven't knitted a jumper for years.

A very talented and humorous male member spinning. He showed me an amazing drawstring style bag he's putting together made from a pair of fantastic knitted socks whose soles had seen better days. Got to recycle - especially this type of work where the wool has been washed, carded, spun, dyed, and goodness knows what else all by hand, before finally being intricately knitted. I hope I got that process correct. Countless hours of effort anyway. I'm sure it will take me the rest of my life to create just one thing! Another member made these incredible gloves.
Inspiration all around.

The darling wee girl called Belle was absolutely adorable with the little lamb, and to watch being taught to knit.
