SPRING’S FALSE ALARM

Spied some beautiful magnolia trees out in bloom walking this morning, but did I have my camera?  I’ve stolen these pics off google, but they pretty much sum up what I saw...

SPRING’S FALSE ALARM

Back to that bite in the air again!  Noticed a lot of beanies out today, and so much for Spring.  It was so windy I took my father’s advice from childhood - ‘hang onto your hat!’.  It was one of the perks of living near ‘Windy Wellington’.  Either wear a hat, or freeze and get a free blow wave.  Another blustery memory was when Dad flew like Mary Poppins with his black umbrella one day down the bank and across the railway line – probably a slight embellishment from him with that story, but it sounded fun, and I was jealous.
