BREAKFAST BY CANDLELIGHT

All steamed up with hot coffee in the hand-warming soup mug, and winter's condensation.

BREAKFAST BY CANDLELIGHT

I bought a little collection of various 1940s war time glass paste jars from the Waiheke car boot market last year, which I thought would be great for a few flower stems. They're the most beautiful and palest shade of lilac, and had been dug out from the stall-holder's garden. As a result they now look like washed-up glass from the beach, so they should work in the bach. This one odd pottle in the mix is a perfect fit for a t-light - any excuse to light a candle - and I love the way the whole effect is reflecting subtle colour against the white mug like a sunset. The jars haven't been christened as yet and I used other vessels for these camellias, so it's time to dig them out.
