Serene, early morning view overlooking Oneroa Beach, Waiheke Island. A rare moment getting this uninterrupted shot from the popular destination DELIGHT - and waiting for my breakfast.

It was the exotic vibe in this Turkish cafe that initially drew me in on my first lengthy visit to Waiheke. I then discovered the coffee and food is definitely superior, and worth every cent - including its professional and friendly service.

The cuisine at DELIGHT is Turkish with Moorish and Greek influences, and is fully licenced, though i haven't indulged in that area as yet. To me, the interior is simple and chic in that earthy way, and still feels modern, but cosy. With stylish jazz filtering through at just the right volume, there's a genuine and quality energy within these walls, and the view for me, as stunning as it is, is a mere side dish.

Consistently good, DELIGHT is definitely worth experiencing, if you can get a table! Open 7 days 8am-3pm 29 Waikare Road Oneroa, Waiheke Island.

Delectable eggs benedict and real coffee.  Wicked.
