HAPPY FATHER'S DAY FROM WAIHEKE ISLAND

Hmmmm... Good question. Not dance music - that would just frustrate me not being able to move properly, and there's no disco ball hovering under my coconut tree, but I do have Billie Holiday within reach, so I'm sending this track 'The Man I Love'
to my wonderful Dad who's back on the mainland this Father's Day - where I should be! Dad's a very keen jazz muso, so I'm sure he'll approve.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY FROM WAIHEKE ISLAND

I'm currently stranded on Waiheke Island due to a leg injury from an accident a couple of days ago. I just want to eat comfort food right now, though without being able to exercise, I'd better be careful. Having become short of edible staples towards the end of my half week stint here, my whanau have thankfully lowered down some rations for me from the upper deck, and I have a few grains of rice floating down in due course. All jokes aside, it's a beautiful spring day here, and with inspiring books at my fingertips like Swiss Family Robinson to read and the display of Moa bones to peer at, I'm sure I won't fade away.
Installation by su reaL atelier on the retro sideboard, lower deck, the bach.
