FINDING CAMERON

FINDING CAMERON

I love childrens' art. It's just the best, and believe strongly in it being displayed - preferably in its natural state. Tucked in a safe place, I thought it was high time the self-portrait of this little boy I teacher-aided at my childrens' primary school several years ago got stuck on the wall, for which it was intended. It was a delightful day seeing the pupils' faces pegged up high around the classroom, and I was so besotted with Cameron's, that I asked his mother permission to take a photocopy.

It was my job to teach and guide Cameron, and he came out with the cutest thing one day after reading to me and I'd had to correct him on a few things in the kindest way I could. He hesitated, looking at me with his gorgeous freckly nose; big, blue eyes; and high pitched voice, and enquired with a slightly annoyed tone, "any more complainments?" Adorable.
