WILD ONE

Weed bouquet. My florist friend would be horrified!
WILD ONE

I really like a lot of shapes and textures from wild flowers and weeds, and for a long time have been meaning to pick some and put together some kind of humble display. I gathered these grasses, dandelions, flowers etc along the walking track from Blackpool's esplanade to Surfdale beach this morning, and left behind the stretch of white, climbing roses rambling right next to the rocks and water's edge. I couldn't believe they were there, but then that's beautiful Waiheke Island for you!

They made it into a vase.
Onto the faux mantelpiece.
Gorgeous lichen found on the clay bank sitting on my latest cracked, china plate.
