Home and hosed.

I was amazed at what I came across during a five minute walk on Palm Beach near the rocks yesterday, so I snitched a few bits to play around with, as my wildflower work had already been done. Beautiful shades and varieties of seaweed, and great textured bark and twigs were draped about, and I nearly ended up having my legs slapped with huge clumps of soggy seaweed by some crazy kids trying to attack their father as I zig-zagged around. I got most of the sand off this 'array on the tray' so I could see what I had to work with.
Palm Beach, Waiheke Island.
SU VENEER hand crafted montage postcard 'Palm Beach Rocks!' - Waiheke Island, NZ. Available at selected Waiheke Island outlets.
The china mermaid belonged to my Grandmother Hilma, though I have no recollection of where the sea maiden posed in her home, and I bought the plastic surfer at the car boot market, Waiheke.
