A NEW VASE RAVE

A bit cluttered on the faux mantlepiece which looks almost ready for autumn.
I never did get around to changing it for summer.

A NEW VASE RAVE

It's a beachless and flowerless happy hour today. Too windy here at Waiheke, so retreating indoors in front of the faux fireplace - who cares, it's Friday at Waiheke, and any day is good -just ask the locals! Even the holiday-makers I meet daily agree, and never want to leave despite the weather.

The view to sea is nearly a whiteout, but the glow from my latest TEACHER'S scotch whisky glass is providing a good sunset and doing the trick. The power of the mind. There were a few teachers in my family, so I had to add this one to the collection. The vintage NZ beer bottle with its great label was bought to use as a vase, and though without blooms this week and without the bottled drop, the bohemian pilsner I'm drinking is just perfect. Time to stir the pot.

An older day shot of the latest vase - with bloom. A beautiful lady at Waiheke gave me a dozen red roses because I gave her some su reaL atelier knitted bangles. So kind.
Latest t-light on the lower deck bar.
